Oh, honey, let's go!

Saving bees with an iced tea - that is the idea of the young Cologne-based start-up "Oh, Honey". Adding a subtle sweetness to iced tea with honey combines enjoyment, well-being and sustainability. Bonsai Sales & Food Service is now supporting the start-up Oh, Honey on its way into food retail (LEH) and food service.

"We are pleased that we can now also bring a bee-friendly product to the German retail and food service sectors," says Kyra Thiele, who is responsible for the food service sector (gastronomy, communal catering and wholesale) in the sales unit. Bonsai Sales & Food Service responsible for the Food Service division (gastronomy, communal catering and wholesale). And her colleague Alexandros Kiriakidis (responsible for food retail) adds: "Oh, Honey and their concept are promising for food retail, the products have a very good taste and it will be an exciting challenge for us."

The Oh, Honey organic iced tea uses organic honey as sweetener, contains only natural ingredients and no additives. For every bottle sold, 10 cents is donated to bee conservation projects. In this way, the organic iced tea offers consumers a refreshing and simple way to do something about bee mortality.

Vernon Flassak, Oh, Honey Founder

"The more Oh, Honey iced tea we sell, the better it is for bee conservation - and for us, of course," says founder Vernon Flassak: "That's why we sought professional support at Bonsai to get started in food retail and food service."

The innovative Oh, Honey organic iced tea is available in two varieties: "It's Mint" (green tea & mint) and "It's Ginger" (mate tea & ginger). Both contain significantly less sugar than usual iced teas (Mint only 18 kcal, Ginger 15 kcal/100ml) and are sweetened exclusively with organic honey. For those who find the usual iced teas with their high content of industrial sugar too sweet, here is a delicious, low-calorie and bee-friendly alternative.
