Hamburg/Bremen, 16 September 2024. Bonsai Research launches the new bonsAI today after extensive testing. bonsAI is a state-of-the-art, AI-powered marketing solution that will revolutionize the way companies understand and interact with their target audiences. By analyzing online behavioral data from 20 million online users worldwide, bonsAI creates detailed audience profiles and transforms this data into actionable insights using Knowledge Graphs and Large Language Models (LLMs). In Germany alone, bonsAI accesses the data of 500,000 online users.

From data to engagement - in real time. How does that work?

"Our new, innovative approach enables companies to interact with an LLM chatbot that mimics a real user and provides personalized marketing strategies. Ultimately, this improves the interaction of companies with their target groups," explains Jasmin Pampuch, Head of Shopper & Behavior Analytics: "Our USP is access to real behavioral data in real time. Unlike surveys or behavioral data, bonsAI's analysis goes beyond historical data. This allows us to analyze people's behavior in real time and derive forecasts," adds Pampuch.

"Our aim in developing our AI was to convert insights from data analysis directly into marketing decisions - or engagement," explains Jens Krüger, CEO of Bonsai Research: "The bonsAI avatars simulate conversations with users, offering a unique opportunity to recognize and understand needs: Customized strategies based on detailed target group profiles." Jasmin Pampuch adds: "bonsAI makes concrete suggestions for channels, content and even for visuals and the language style of campaigns". By identifying the relevant influencers, touchpoints and content for each target group segment, the efficiency of marketing campaigns can be increased and the marketing strategy maximized through precise targeting.

For which industries does bonsAI work?

In principle, bonsAI can be used by all companies from industries in which online plays a relevant role in the customer journey. Bonsai has already successfully carried out extensive tests in the beauty, health and pharmaceutical sectors.

How does it work technically?

"Knowledge graph databases allow us to efficiently model and query complex relationships between data points," Jasmin Pampuch explains the methodological backbone of the new AI, "while LLM-supported analyses use advanced language models to interpret large amounts of text data and provide relevant and contextual insights." This means that bonsAI not only analyzes which pages the user has accessed, but also their specific content.
