Bonsai goes nimble

Faster insights with Flink and Bonsai Research

Flink, one of Europe's leading instant food delivery services, is cooperating with Bonsai Research. Manufacturers can use Bonsai to quickly access customer behavior data, have surveys conducted, and thus better understand the market for instant grocery delivery services. Bonsai is thus expanding its test market expertise to include quick commerce - and is also testing new products and product variants here. With this cooperation, Flink rounds off its advertising and services in the retail media sector.

Julian Altmann, Head of Retail Media Flink

Berlin/Hamburg, 16.02.2023. The instant delivery service Flink is now working with Bonsai Research to provide the market with up-to-the-minute insights from Quick Commerce customers.

Michaela Thielen, Client Partner Bonsai Research

"Quick Commerce users tick and buy differently than the supermarket customer," says Michaela Thielen, Client Partner at Bonsai Research: "Through the cooperation with Flink, we can offer our customers quick insights into the Quick Commerce growth market." This rounds off Bonsai 's comprehensive test market offering in stationary retail and e-commerce: "On Flink, we test new products, further developments and packaging variants. Also exciting here are the Flink advertising opportunities, with which we can generate and explore impulse purchases." The offer extends far beyond sales figures: thanks to the cooperation with Flink, shoppers can also be asked directly - about their product experience or repurchase intentions, to name just two examples. In the case of non-buyers, the barriers to purchase or the triggers for buying competing products can be surveyed.

"It is becoming increasingly important for FMCG manufacturers to position themselves in the booming quick commerce market," emphasizes Julian Altmann, Head of Retail Media at Flink. According to a recent forecast, quick commerce sales worldwide are expected to double to almost 180 billion euros in the next five years. "As Germany's leading instant grocery delivery service, Flink Retail Media allows us to provide advertisers with the platforms to reach Quick Commerce customers in a targeted way."

The relevant insights into the target group and the positioning of products and brands in Quick Commerce are provided by Bonsai Research. "With Flink, we access behavioral data and thus cover the entire customer journey," says Michaela Thielen: "We offer test markets and surveys at high speed with maximum flexibility."
